Concentric Twinax 70/370 Series TRB Connectors

The TRB connector has bayonet coupling design with a centre contact and an intermediate cylindrical contact. The bayonet type can withstand severe shocks and vibrations. They are available in 2, 3 and 4-lug, push-on and threaded styles. They are commonly used in digital data bus, video pair, MIL-STD-1553B (airborne/ground, primary/redundant), base band circuit and any application for "noise-free guarded" circuits.

Prefixes for the different interface versions.

PL74-* calls a 2-lug version.

PL75-* calls a 3-lug version.

PL75FL-* calls a 4-lug version.

PL375-* calls a threaded version.

PL73-* calls a push-on version.

PL75MC-* calls up a 'Military Crimp' version which will use different tooling to that used for standard versions. A MIL-C-49142 qualified version of many the connectors within the 70/370 range is also available. The QPL'd versions are silver plated and use the same tooling as the Miltary Crimp (MC) versions. The QPL'd versions must be ordered under the respective M49142 number. See the Trompeter catalogue for full details.

A smiliar nomenclature applies to cable jacks and bulkhead jacks.

* calls up the suffix number matching the cable to be used. E.G. PL75-29, the -29 calls up TWC-78-1 cable. Note, the -29 may also fit other cables, see Trompeter cable table for a full listing.
