The PX-242 has a ceramic heater with built-in sensor. The heater is automatically controlled by the heating load on the tip, making it an excellent choice for soldering terminals and connectors. It has an exceptional heat recovery even during continuous operation and provides fast heating and quick response. With its high insulation and low current leakage, soldering of flat IC and CMOS is a safe operation.
The set temperature is kept stable by the temperature control circuit built into the grip. The operator cannot change the temperature when soldering and the heater responds to changes in the tip temperature quickly. The heater On/Off control uses the zero-volt switch circuit which reduces noise during the On/Off to the minimum. The iron is fitted with a burn-resistant rubber power cord and moulded UK plug.
The tips are coated with an extra-thick iron plating and will be long lasting whether lead-alloy or lead free solders are used. These irons DO NOT have to be used only with lead free solders. |
