Anticipating the broad platform of development in High Definition (HD) and Serial Digital Video (SDV) into the professional and commodity markets, Trompeter was the first connector manufacturer to develop and offer commercially a high performance true 75 ohm BNC cable plug. The Trompeter UPL2000 is a robust, high frequency, true 75 Ohm BNC connector that is designed to handle high bit-rate digital video signal transmissions in conjunction with the low loss coaxial cables used in broadcast applications. The UPL2000 features a return loss performance of -30dB through 3GHz. Despite a plethora of ‘me to’ products now available, many of which are far-east, low-cost products which fall down when pushed into higher frequencies (>1.5 GHz), the Trompeter UPL2000 remains the market leader when all operating parameters are considered. For example, the UPL2000’s operating frequency has been tested up through 6 GHz. |

UCBBJE20 Circuit Board Bulkhead Edge Mount Jack |

The UCBBJE20 has become the connector of choice for Router and Rack Frame manufacturers who require high performance with the ability to bulkhead mount. Ideally suited to digital broadcast applications, the UCBBJE20 is a 75 Ohm side-launch bulkhead BNC jack designed for 3 GhZ frequencies with low return loss. The jack is plated with a thin gold finish for excellent solderability characteristics and a high conductive path. Current design accommodates board thicknesses of 0.031 and 0.084 inches (UCBBJE20-1, -2 & -3). Further details and schematics can be found in the Trompeter PCB guide on the download page. The UCBJSE20 is a 75 Ohm separable circuit board jack for interconnecting mother and daughter boards. This connector is ideal for sending high frequency signals directly from the edge of the PCB through the motherboard into the coax cable.
The two-piece design consists of an edge mounted connector mounted to the daughter board, and a BNC body mounted over a hole on the motherboard. The edge mounted connector can be mated and de-mated through the hole, allowing 'hot swap' interconnections without the necessity of removing the cable from the motherboard. The connector offers return loss values better than -25dB up through 3 GHz. |
